Functie

Mission

As a Product Development Engineer Composites at KVE, you will be technically responsible for executing various projects from specification to product realization. You will develop composite products through all stages of the development cycle: from concept design, calculations, and tooling design to manufacturing engineering and testing. Depending on the project size and your experience, you will work independently on a project or as part of an engineering team.

Your responsibilities

• Develop composite products from concept to manufacturing;
• Perform design for composite structures;
• Design and optimize tooling and production processes;
• Manufacture the first parts and handover to production
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure project success;
• Draft, check and approve technical documentation;
• Optimize existing products and processes;
• Report progress and results to project managers and the department manager

In short; you'll get the opportunity to be an engineer, involved in the whole process from early design phase, up to the first articles rolling out of production.

Your luggage

You have a passion for composites and/or aerospace and are ready for the next step in your career. You have gained some experience in a high-tech engineering environment and are eager to further develop within the field of composite product development. You are a team player, take responsibility, and strive to meet customer expectations.

• Completed BSc/MSc/BEng in Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering;
• 3-5 years of work experience in a technical environment;
• Experience with composites;
• Experience with stress analysis is a plus;
• Excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is an advantage;
• Residing in the Netherlands or willing to move to the Netherlands.

• Salary between €3400 and €4400, depending on experience;
