De Plesman is based in a historic monument, and is currently transformed into a brand-new lifestyle hospitality concept. All the (wonderful - if we can say so) basics are there: an astonishing monumental building, a restaurant, a bar, a gym and meeting rooms. But de Plesman is not your regular hotel, we do things differently around here.
So.. What is different you ask? We are bold. We are looking for someone who wants to evolve hospitality together with us. We believe our team members are at the heart of our hotel and make it such a special place. We can’t do this alone though, and hence we are looking for you to arrange a memorable wine service for our guests; ranging from the creation of the wine list to storytelling for our guests at the table.

What will you be doing?
You deliver exceptional wine service with a refined and friendly approach, always putting the guests first and ensuring a memorable, personalized experience.
You inspire curiosity and foster learning in the restaurant team by conducting engaging and enjoyable training sessions that encourage the exploration of wine knowledge.
You manage wine inventory with precision and sophistication, confidently making decisions to maintain an optimal stock balance and stay ahead of future trends.
You take a bold and innovative approach to controlling wine stock, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency while staying curious about new solutions.
You develop a well-curated and sophisticated wine menu that balances tradition with bold, unique options, surprising both classic and adventurous guests.
You take care of cost and margin management, finding the right balance between profitability and delivering the highest quality experience.
Small print:
You have more than 2 years of experience in a similar role. You’ll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
Accredited sommelier certificate
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;
You speak English fluently
You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague
