We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a temporary 9-month contract to support our Business Controller in ensuring the smooth financial operations here at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam Airport!

The Accountant Role
In this role, you will assist the Business Controller with financial reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will also help ensure compliance with hotel and industry standards, supporting the strategic financial objectives of the organization.

Some of your responsibilities will include

• Assist in maintaining a seamless finance function, ensuring diligent financial processes while adhering to accounting principles, company policies, and industry standards.

  
  

• Review vendor payment run proposals from the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, ensuring timely clearance of open or unallocated items.

  
  

• Support the Business Controller in month-end closing activities, including the preparation and submission of key Blackline journal entries (e.g., accruals, in-house transactions, key financial figures).

  
  

• Preparation of the daily income audit, reconciling and verifying all monetary transactions from tills to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies, proactively identifying and addressing any discrepancies.

  
  

• Collaborate with operational teams, providing financial guidance and helping to ensure accurate cost control and budget adherence.

  
  

Qualities We Are Looking For

• This position requires a proactive and analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial support. You will collaborate with various departments, providing valuable assistance in maintaining efficient financial processes.

  
  

• A thoroughly understanding of general accounting processes and procedures is vital in this role. Therefore, a proven track record from within the Accounting/Finance disciplines is required.

  
  

• You act with integrity and can work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.

  
  

• You bring advanced excel skills.
