The MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam is looking for a Painter/Caretaker (f/m/d).

YOUR TASKS

• Surface treatment including pretreatment and application of coverings (wall and ceiling coverings)

  
  

• Application of primer, paint and varnish layers (walls, ceilings, windows, doors, furniture)

  
  

• Execution of filling work

  
  

• Carrying out of all preparatory and follow-up work (moving, furniture, masking and timely restoration of the room)

  
  

• Working in 2 MEININGER Hotels in Amsterdam

  
  

• Ordering of necessary working materials

  
  

• Product research in the area of responsibility

  
  

• Development of proposals for sustainability, cost reduction and profitability in the area of responsibility

  
  

• Support in the planning of painting and renovation works (drawing up lists of requirements, material recommendations)

  
  

• Comprehensible documentation of the work carried out

  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Knowledge of materials and latest developments in the sector

  
  

• Professional experience as a painter is an advantage

  
  

• You can work independently and you are good in organizing your day

  
  

• You enjoy a diverse working environment and are flexible to work weekdays and weekends

  
  

• Fluent Dutch, English and any other languages are an advantage

  
  

• Previous experience in hotel/hostel environment is a plus

  
  

• You are willing to travel to other MEININGER entities
